Description

Do you have a 2016, 2017, 2018, or 2019 Chevy Volt?
Do you have a Chevy Bolt EV? (all years)

If you have access to a 220V / 240V outlet, you can use this Level 2 Upgrade adapter, along with the charge cord (EVSE) that came with your car, to effectively DOUBLE to voltage and possibly TRIPLE your charge rate (if you're stuck at 8A charging.)

12 Gauge wire, for added safety.

Simply connect the adapter to your EVSE, then plug the other end of the adapter into the 220V / 240V outlet.
Then, you're ready for Level 2 charging on your Volt or Bolt EV. The car immediately recognizes the voltage as a Level 2 charge session. It really is plug and play!

The Gen2 Volt charges in ~5hrs with the Upgrade Adapter, from empty to full.
The Bolt EV charges in ~20hrs, from empty to full but most people rarely get a Bolt EV to empty.

Most 3-phase outlets can also use these adapters. Please contact us for a custom order, if you don't see your outlet listed.

The highest quality components are used in the fabrication of this Level 2 Upgrade Adapter. This should be considered an Extension Cord, and care should be taken to the receptacle end. Just like extension cords, the receptacle can wear and cause extra resistance. If the receptacle end becomes hot to the touch, or the thermal sensor inside the EVSE's input plug stops the session, please discontinue use of the adapter. Please contact us for replacement service, for the receptacle.
