Pictured here is my cast stone sculpture, Celtic Clover. This is a traditional Celtic knot weave and clover motif. I love carving Celtic designs, it is wonderful to get lost in the intricacies of their flowing lines and knots. It is 5 1/2" square and weighs about 1 pound.

I will cast your Celtic Clover sculpture from the mold I made of my original plaster carving. I use a combination of mineral oxide pigments added to C-144 masonry sand and blends of white and gray portland cements, and then hand cast the piece in my home studio. Once cured, I will process your sculpture with Metallic Emerald Green and gold highlights over a base of black plus Hunter Green (Finish A+C 8 3 31 30). A metal hook is embedded in the back, and it can be hung indoors or out. The mineral oxide pigments are 100% permanent and lightfast. The piece is further protected by a UV barrier coating.

About cast stone
Cast stone is a technique widely used in architectural precast concrete construction to simulate natural cut stone. Cast stone can be made from white and/or grey cements, manufactured or natural sands, carefully selected crushed stone or well graded natural gravels and mineral coloring pigments to achieve the desired color and appearance while maintaining durable physical properties which exceed most natural cut building stones.
