"This is My Crayon Book: Shirley Temple"

This Shirley Temple coloring book was published by Saalfield in 1935, and is No. 1711. The back of the book shows the back of the Shirley Temple figure. A good to very good diecut photocover stapled softcover. Some light creasing. Pictures have been neatly colored. The center page is loose from the staple, but has not been attempted to repair to maintain its unique condition. Copyright 1935. The pictures inside have been nicely colored in. It is in good condition for its age with a few light creases on the front cover.

Please click on each photo and take a close-up look on the bigger photo. On one page, Grandma must have had something that made an intention of an elephant that she used near the elephant in the coloring pages. In another place in the color book there is the similar in the form of an oval with a flower in it indented. A small tear in the ages pages of about an inch, shown in the photo near the flower indent. The book measures approx. 13" x 13" at its widest points.

Grandma left me this copy and she LOVED coloring neatly even at a young age. (She went on to be a one-room school house teacher, and she colored right along with her students, she enjoyed it so much!) This was her treasured copy of "Little Bright Eyes". A great collector's item.

Inscription in the front and back covers note that this was given to my Grandma in 1936 as a Christmas gift from relatives.
