Beluch bagface
This antique saddlebag was made around 1900 or before by nomadic Beluchi tribes people, who travelled between the Hindukush and the deserts of Baluchistan in the south, herding sheep and goats, from whose wool/ hair they made rugs, bags, tent and camel trappings/ decorations. This saddlebag once had a flatweave back .

Made with all natural dyes, the electric blues are from the familiar indigo plant, reds and browns from madder, yellows from crocus and oak galls for the deep browns.

A stunning tribal artefact, magical colours, glowing with the subtle and luminous patina that comes with great age.

Measures 30 inches [76 cm] across
24.5 inches [62 cm] top to bottom including fringes
