Fireplace Cover Screen Insert

Wood slices arranged on cabinet grade plywood with a stain of your choice! Unless worked out via conversation, wood slices are cut in varying lengths .5 to 2.25 inches.

I use freshly cut wood I cut myself from family owned land in East Texas. Varieties of ash, elm, hickory, pecan, cedar, cypress, and maple.

ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS

Round down on your measurements when ordering. Example: Your measurements are 34 1/2 Width and 22 3/4 Height. You would order 34 Width and 22 Height. You can then enter the exact measurements of 34 1/2 x 22 3/4 in the Personalization section or via messaging. I will message you after you order. At that time we can discuss all things regarding your cover.

ATTACHING TO FIREPLACE: Biggest question I get.

So, it really depends on your fireplace, the opening, and how good we get the measurements.

If it's a metal fireplace box I can use magnets on the back of the cover to hold it in place.
If it's a traditional brick fireplace then provided we get the measurements just right there will be minimum room on the sides and top. You can simply tap in some small wood shims (just slivers of wood) or really anything (cardboard, etc) to hold the cover in place against the brick.

I've also started making a "support box" which is what it sounds like - a 3 inch wide, 3 inch deep box that is attached to the back of the cover. You simply put some heavy items in it - the more and heavier the more secure your cover will be!

Also, the cover will be about 3 inches wide so just needs a little help in being completely secure. I do encourage at least shims though just to give you confidence that it won't fall out at some point.....kids, pets, anyone pulling on it. :)
