WHAT A FANTASTIC BOOK! This book is all about color and patterns and teaching you how to make good choices with both without hampering your creativity. I’ve tried to read color theory books before and have gotten lost. Chapter 1 in this book just draws you in showing you the different aspects of color theory in photos using yarn—not paint—and provides lots of good tips for making color theory work with band weaving. This is followed by a chapter on choosing color palettes and then designing pleasing patterns. It includes over 200 full color pattern charts plus tips on making them your own. I am new to inkle weaving and was having a difficult time understanding the concept behind design, but Annie MacHale makes it so easy to see how just two alternating weaving lines can make thousands of patterns. This is my new favorite book!

I got the "hardcopy." It's spiral bound, bright, and sturdy! Very happy and already have a loom warped and ready to go! I chose my own colors and used one of the book patterns. Very easy to understand, although I do have years of inkle weaving experience I do think it's easy to follow for anyone.

What a great book, with beautiful images and diagrams, heavy, high-quality paper, and functional spiral binding. A great addition to any weaver's library! Packed really nicely and shipped quickly, too.

Excellent condition, fast shipping. Really excited to try these weaves! This was one of the books recommended by the teacher of my Inkle weaving class.
