Description

smaller mint green hand painted silk velvet hand printed with Queen Anne's lace in gray to black

I use permanent water based dye and hand place my silk screen designs to give the fabric a painterly quality. I print with thickened dye rather than ink, it actually becomes part of the fiber rather than sitting on top and changing the texture of the fabric. The velvet is very soft.

The print appears on both sides of this scarf because I have sewn it into a tube.

Additional policies

Colors can be slightly different on different computers. Variegation in printing and dyeing are the beauty of a handmade product. You will also find variation in print placement on my work, each napkin will look different for example.
