That's right, a belt for your finger! OR a steampunk belt for Barbie!
In keeping with my belt buckle design aesthetic, I have fabricated a teeny tiny adjustable buckle ring. The strap is cut from scrap leather, dyed, sealed and even has a tiny rivet to attach it to the buckle. Please note the extremely small belt keeper as well. The buckle itself is a domed clock cog. Because the cog is made from tool steel, there are very small stress cracks from hammering into shape. This is just what tool steel does, and in no way compromises the gear. In fact, I think it adds to its charm. Gear is sealed with clear coat.

Gear is 11/16" in diameter. Overall length is 3 7/8" and is adjustable for ring sizes roughly 8 to 4 (leather does have some stretch). And, yes, it can indeed be used as a belt for a Barbie doll!

This is the second ring I made for the Ring A Week (RAW) challenge that many Etsy (and non Etsy!) makers are participating in this year. Very exciting to work outside my comfort zone! To follow RAW progress and see some really excellent work please visit the flickr page:
