"What I seek to achieve through color and line is to convey to others my feelings and emotions of the life about me, and to give that message through the simple objects and the people I see, without sacrificing the best craftsmanship that is in me or the appearance of the subject matter. Such was the impulse behind 'After the Masque' which was conceived in a dressing room backstage in the atmosphere of the world of make believe. It was later created in my studio."

artist Robert Brackman

A Russian native. Studied at Francisco Ferrer School, and later continued at the National Academy of Design.

This print came from a 1945 edition of Contemporary American Painting book. The page is thick. Complete artist bio and head shot are printed on the back side of the page.

This would look great framed.

page measures approx. 9.25 x 9.50
the print is 66 years old so some minor edge/corner wear is to be expected. some minor yellowing.

I am selling the actual page, not a reproduction.
