this item is a sculptural piece that can be displayed in several ways. it can be worn as a necklace, hung on the wall, or separated into three individual houses to set on a shelf or table.

each house is a different shape and features hand embroidery as well as machine stitching. the chimney of each house is a loop of fabric so that the houses can be rearranged and removed from the cord using the attached ribbons. elastic and button closures on the sides of each house allow them to collapse flat or have an object placed inside.

extra tidbit of information:
this piece was a part of the society of north american goldsmith's "metal evolution" and "present/represent" exhibitions at their 2009 conference in philadelphia.

a state sales tax will be applied to orders within the state of virginia equal to %5 of the cost of the item (not including shipping). please check my shop policies for information on shipping and feel free to send me a conversation if you have any questions.
