Description

When King Tut’s tomb was unearthed in 1922, it created an absolute fascination with Egyptian style, which instantly began influencing the art deco jewelry of the time. Real scarab beetle jewelry became a popular way of expressing this love of Egyptian iconography in the Art Deco period. This lovely three strand necklace set is a modern interpretation of the ancient Egyptian inspired jewels of the 1920s. Three solid sterling silver twisted diamond cut necklaces created a cascade of shimmer with a real green metallic scarab beetle hung from the longest chain, a vintage West German green acrylic gem hangs from the middle chain, and a beautiful solid sterling silver scarab beetle charm hangs from the tops chain. Wear all three together for a truly glamorous art deco Egyptian queen look, or for a more conservative everyday glamorous look wear just one or two at a time.

COMPLEMENTARY GIFT WRAPPING- Your piece will come beautifully gift boxed with a special story card written by Dr. Diana about the natural inspiration behind your piece.

Lovingly handmade in the USA <3

Conservation is our mission, so when working with plants and arthropods we identify all specimens to make sure we do not use any species that are threatened or endangered so that we can practice and encourage responsible conservation habits through our work, and our intention is to use insects that have died naturally, or pest species that have passed as part of IPM to conserve native plants and animals. Insect Diva pieces showcase the utter beauty of insects, while educating people about them, making these beautiful creatures more real and accessible to everyone.
