2 genuine fossil dinosaur fossil bones, wrapped in sterling silver. These earrings would make a great gift for your favourite paleontologist or fossil geek, or anyone who likes interesting stones.

The cells in the original bone were replaced with agate during the fossilization process; the rusty orange & red specks are visible in the brown & black stone. These dinosaur bones are called pseudomorphs; unfortunately the pieces aren't large enough for us to know what type of dino this was, but its remains were found in Utah.

As you can see from the photos, each pair of earrings will vary in colour & pattern; every stone is unique. You will receive a pair similar to the stones pictured.

The earrings dangle around 1.2 cm (1/2 an inch) from the bottom of the sterling silver hooks; the stones themselves average a very small 8 mm (1/3 of an inch) long. I can switch the hooks for hypoallergenic surgical steel if you have metal allergies. These can also be made into ear cuffs for $7 more.

Please note that these photos are close-ups & other people will not see the level of detail shown, unless they get REALLY close to you. The rust red/orange hue will be less evident in some lights & will not show as well from any distance. Also, some of the stones have less of the rust shade, as you can see in the second photo.
