Please see individual listings for sizing details. All custom orders are knit to size specifications provided by the buyer.
Each individual item will have care instructions, if applicable, included on its tag, but here are some basic guidelines.
* Stuffed animals and toys are NOT machine-washable. I recommend cleaning with a lightly damp cloth.
* Lace knits need to be laid flat and reshaped to dry. I recommend hand-washing as well, even if it is not a natural-fiber yarn, to avoid holes getting caught on something in the washer.
* Wreaths kept outdoors can be brushed off lightly before coming inside for the season.
* Dishcloths are 100 percent cotton and therefore 100 percent washer-and-dryer safe!
* Please note that though all of the yarns I use are colorfast and well-set, there is a possibility of colors fading with repeated regular washing.

If you are allergic to any specific fiber, such as wool:
* Please ask before purchasing a finished product to make sure it does not contain that fiber!
* Please let me know before I start working on a custom project for you! Unlike a lot of knitters, my yarn stash is relatively small :) I prefer to purchase yarn for a project in mind, and yarn cost does factor into the final price of custom orders. Before I buy lovely wool to make that custom stocking, I need to know if you're allergic to wool so that I can purchase another yarn instead!
Custom orders are priced based on several factors:
* Yarn and other materials cost
* Time spent to consult with you, knit the project and perfect it before sending it to you
* Delivery deadline — if you need a baby blanket in a month, it is going to be more expensive than if you needed it in three months, because every waking moment will be spent getting it completed in the time allotted!
Though I'm knitting year-round, there are a few things that I stop taking custom orders on with guaranteed "before holiday" delivery dates! I also may at times limit the quantities of custom orders of a certain item that I take in. There are also a few weeks I will be unable to ship orders due to being out of town. All of this info will be updated as needed on the shop announcements!

Deadlines to keep in mind:
* By Hanukkah and Christmas Eve 2016: Please order by Nov. 15
* By Valentine's Day 2017: Please order by Jan. 1

No shipping these dates in 2017:
* March 17 through 19
* July 14 through 23
* July 27 through 31
Generally when creating a custom knit, I request at least three weeks for a smaller-scale project (scarves, hats, toys, jewelry, dishcloths, decorations, etc.). Larger-scale projects may take four to six weeks, such as blankets, sweaters and shawls.
Please see each shop category for available custom designs and details! Do you need a knitted item and don't see it listed? Message me and I will be happy to create a pattern for you and make one! I do not charge extra for pattern creation and reserve the right to make additional items from that pattern to be listed on Etsy and sold at craft fairs. Photos of custom items will be used in my portfolios and for marketing purposes. If it's a gift, let me know the "gifting date" and no photos will be posted until afterwards so as not to ruin any surprises.
