The ginkgo tree’s popularity in Japan is proving to be as long-lived as the trees themselves, and the unique appeal of its simple, delicate leaves continues to this day. The ginkgo tree is venerated. Several ginkgo biloba trees survived the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945 and continue to live today. For this reason, the trees are considered a ''bearer of hope'' and a symbol of resilience and peace on the island nation. In the United States, the tree is often a reminder for Japanese Americans of their heritage.

Originally $70.00 reduced to clearance $30.00 for the pair.

Decorative knife edge throw pillow sham-backed COVERS ONLY SET OF 2 approx. 18 inches square made from 100% cotton slightly textured fabric small furoshiki (aka Japanese wrapping cloth). The pillow front cover is composed of several layers (cotton underlining, firm batting, another layer of cotton underlining and the cover piece) to make a slightly padded and durable cover. I make the sham backing by overlapping sections of corduroy fabric so that this can be taken off the pillow form to clean. Spot cleaning or dry cleaning recommended. Pillow cores are NOT INCLUDED unless a special order is requested and the costs adjusted.

Japanese gingko tree design front in rich shades of golden yellow and brown with coordinating solid dark brown thin-wale sturdy corduroy backing. Both are exact copies of each other. Items are stored in a smoke free environment until time of sale. 80% of fabrics I use are imported directly from Japan.

Not the right design for you? Another style might be shown last in the photos and is not for sale in this listing but may still be available for purchase

Note: Use an existing old pillow you have at home as the pillow core to save money and slip cover these over the old ones you wish to replace. If the pillow cores you have are not quite large enough, you can add a few layers of quilt batting over them or sometimes even a towel will work. This takes an 18 inch pillow core if you are purchasing new ones at a craft store. If requested, I can adjust shipping costs to ship these with pillow cores included but it is expensive to ship pillows this way. It would be an additional $8.00 each to include the pillow forms PLUS an additional approx. $9.50 more each to ship USPS priority mail within the U.S. from CA to an east coast address when the pillow cores are included.

These pillow covers ship USPS Priority Mail to domestic U.S. addresses (delivery confirmation) and First Class Mail International outside of the U.S.

Shipping costs listed are best ESTIMATES—pillow covers can vary a bit in weight. Pillow covers ship Priority Mail to all countries unless they are under 16 ounces when they can ship overseas international first class. Shipping cost many times can be reduced by combining your pillow cover with other purchases. Please CONVO me before paying for your item(s) so that I can give you the lowest shipping costs I can. I will then adjust the listing and relist it as reserved for you to purchase. Wish to make a purchase but don’t see your country listed? CONVO me. It might be possible.
