A German Rolling Pin designed for making Springerle cookies, an anise flavored treat eaten at holidays. This mold appears to not have been used. There are three rows of cookie images, nine in total. The carvings appear to be of birds and fruit.
These are collected because of the wide variety of hand carved images. It could be used for baking, or as a nice kitchen decoration.
