FAKE DESIGNS ALERT
Pieces with tags on their unfinished backs, like Husár D,
Taboo or BIJOUX MG are NOT old Czech traditional
designer names or marks, THESE ARE NOT VINTAGE,
but recently made pieces in vintage look. No jewelry
designer would attach his name on an unfinished piece.
Unfinished and signed = FAKE!

Don't buy antique or vintage Costume Jewelry
without seeing a detailed photo of the back.

👉 Offering Husár D as vintage or antique is a deception!
Mr. David Husár (45) currently living in Jablonec (Gablonz),
Czech Republic, manufacturing and selling rhinestone
and glass jewelry. Pls see also
www.info-jablonec.cz/david-husar/index.html

👉 Offering Aurora Borealis jewelry from the 1920-30s
is misleading. Aurora Borealis is an iridescent rhinestone
finish developed by Swarovski in 1955.
These rhinestones were widely used in costume jewelry
in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

👀Whether these sellers, like i.e. MeAndMoma or
MamaSaysGo,based in the USA, are being ignorant
or deceptive is hard to tell. But at present, they have
plenty of the so called vintage fakes up for sale,
spreading totally misleading information.
Don't get cheated!

A bit history of Rhinestones:
Jablonec (Gablonz) a city in Bohemia, Czech Republic
(former Czechoslovakia) is the cradle of costume jewelry.
The first artificial jewelry was produced in 18th century
in Gablonz and was exported throughout Europe.
Already in 1820 Gablonz makers exported more than
2½ bilion cut glass beads and rhinestones in a year
worldwide.
Beginning 1830's Gablonz craftsmen began making lines
of fashion jewelry, thousands tons of glass components
and rhinestones were exported into the whole world,
especially to the USA.
In 1918 were freed from the rule of Austria and Hungary,
the Czechs and Slovaks became united and the land
was called Czechoslovakia and the jewelry from
these times was called Bohemian and mostly unmarked.
After WW I (1918) the jewelry was marked with
Czecho, Czecho-Slovakia, Czechoslovakia or
Made in Czechoslovakia.
👉 All these pieces were plated on the back, NOT heavily
soldered, as these sellers MeAndMoma and MamaSaysGo
absolutely wrongly claim.
