A little information:
The Sun, as you know, is a star, a sphere of gas from which a great amount of light and heat emanate. Life on Earth depends closely on it.

The sun has an approximate diameter of 1,394,400 km (more than one million kilometers). To give you an idea of such enormous size, the diameter of the Earth is 40,000 kilometers.
This size may make us think that it is the biggest star in the universe and it is not like that: the Sun seems very big in that it is closer to us than other stars are but in reality the Sun is a star of the stars. smaller: astronomers define it as a yellow dwarf star.

Impressive phenomena occur on the surface. One of them is sunspots, which are dark cavities, of a surface of thousands of kilometers.
These spots appear and disappear, change shape and position. It is estimated that inside the spots the temperature is about 4,500 degrees.

Where do you get all that energy? Exactly because this happens: hydrogen atoms undergo fusion at 14 million degrees, and form helium, thus releasing the energy it needs.
In any case, the end will come: the fuel will be exhausted and the star will die. But rest assured, this will not happen for another 5 billion years!
Until then let's enjoy it!
Surprising the world of astronomy!
