So excited about these Bohemian “Claw” Beads! They were made in the early to mid-1900s.

These are large beads, measuring 20mm wide and 34mm long.

This listing is for the COBALT color. They are the dark blue color, on the right side in the photos. You will receive (10) claw beads. I have not cleaned them and will leave this up to the new owner. The beads shown in the photos have been cleaned and rubbed with a drop of olive oil.

Trade beads are true to their name. They were an important part of currency used in trade between Africans and Europeans. The Europeans loaded their ships with beads and "trinkets", among them these beads, and traded them in Africa for gold, coffee and natural resources.

Thanks for shopping with me!
