This pattern, which is a twist on the Classic "Tennessee Waltz" Quilt, uses what is known as a Pineapple Block rather than the traditional "54-40 or Fight" block to achieve the look of curved piecing without sewing any curves.
The 12 page PDF contains detailed cutting charts and instructions for strip piecing the 4-patch units. Two methods for making the V-block units in the Pineapple Block are explained, with the quilter having the choice of either using a specialty ruler or paper piecing templates (included) in order to achieve precise results.
Please note that this listing is for a digital download of the pattern. You will not be shipped a paper pattern.
Finished size: 70 x 92"
Supplies needed:
FABRICS:
This design works best if you stick with a background fabric and two main colors. You can still achieve a scrappy look if you desire, but I suggest you pull your scraps from 2 main color palettes. If you are going scrappy, coordinated fat quarters work well.
You will need:
Background fabric 4 yards
Color 1 (grey in pattern) 2.5 yards total

* More fabric will be required if you prefer unpieced borders
