We recommend sizing down apart from the following styles: ‘Lizzie Elliot’, ‘Lydia Elliot’, ‘Ella Grace Elliot', 'Evie Elliot'. We offer sizing guidance but rely on customer details; if the fit isn’t right, returns are welcome at your expense.

Custom and personalized orders

We are unable to change the heel of our boots or customise them. The styles on our Etsy page are the styles which our boots are available in. You may find some additional styles on our website https://www.houseofelliotcollection.com/collections/ Colours: We don't provide a custom lace colour/dying service. Our boots are mainly available in ivory, white and black. Our ivory is a warm ivory colour which is suited to ivory, and champagne gowns whilst our white is a pure white which is suited to pure white gowns or blush gowns.

Dispatch & Shipping Times

All our footwear and accessories are hand finished in our studio especially for you and we will contact you once we receive your order to advise you of the estimated delivery date and to confirm your size. We endeavour to prepare all orders which are in stock within 8 to 12 working days of receiving your order. However, during busy times this may be longer. Please contact us if your order is urgent. If your size/style is listed as out of stock please contact us. We always ship with a fast, tracked and insured shipping service. DHL is our shipper of choice. Please see our estimated delivery times in the 'Shop Policies' section. Once dispatched you will receive an e-mail from DHL with your tracking number.

Message us within 14 days of receipt. You must ensure your item arrives back to us within 14 days of receipt for UK customers and 28 days for international customers. You'll need to use a trackable mail service with insurance and pay the postage charge. We will offer a refund minus delivery costs & duties (if applicable), to your original payment method once we receive your item back. Items must not be used and returned in a perfect and unworn condition, without blemish to the lace or sole. Only try them on in a soft carpeted area, as even wooden floors can cause damage & we are only able to exchange or refund goods in their original condition. Please make sure you return them in the keepsake box that you have received them in.

We will do our best to find the best style and size for you but if you do require a different style or size we offer free exchanges to UK customers. If an alternative style is required, please return your purchase to us. Exchanged shoes that are in stock will be sent out within 7 days of receipt of your original item, shoes that are out of stock can take up 10 weeks to make, please get in touch to confirm the stock of your preferred style and size. International customers please see 'International Returns & Exchanges'

International Returns & Exchanges (outside of the UK)

Notify us within 14 days of receipt that you wish to return your item. You must ensure your item arrives back to us within 28 days of receipt in its original condition. Please message us and we will send you the required instructions on how to do this. You will need to pay the postage and use a tracked & insured service. For returns outside of the UK you must mark your package clearly with the words ‘BRITISH RETURNED GOODS’ on the outside of the parcel and on any paperwork. US customers, as we pay duties upfront they cannot be refunded on returned items. If you require an exchange, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item and will also need to make an additional payment to cover the cost of the item being sent out to you.

I have slender/athletic calves will your boots fit me?

House of Elliot boots feature an adjustable satin ribbon at the side which adjusts the boot to suit most leg widths. If you have particularly slender or particularly athletic calves please contact us so we can ensure the perfect fit. Our Lotti Elliot and Lizzie Elliot ankle boots are the perfect choices if you fall into this category as they suit all leg widths. If in doubt please measure your calf using the following guide and send us your measurements so we can advise as to the best fit. Sit down and place your feet flat on the floor in front of you. Take a tape measure and wrap it around the widest part of your calf, taking care not to leave a gap. Measure to the nearest 1cm.

How high are your boots?

There are slight variations depending on size but on average our knee high boots are 40cm high, our over the knee boots are 61cm high, and our ankle boots are 19cm. All measurements are if standing in bare feet. If you measure up your leg in centimetres this is where the boot will sit.

Are your boots comfortable?

Yes, our footwear is deemed to be incredibly comfortable. The padded insoles are 100% leather, which ensures the ultimate comfort, and the soft luxurious lace envelopes your foot and leg. We recommend you wear your shoes for 2–3 times before your wedding,for 10 minutes each time. Remember to wear them on a soft surface in order not to mark them! US Customers: The $800 duty-free allowance has been removed. We ship to the US with a Delivered Duties Paid (DDP) service via DHL/UPS. These fees are relected in the shipping price at checkout so there is nothing to pay on arrival. EU Customers: Since the UK is no longer in the EU, import VAT and courier admin fees may apply. These are payable upfront to the courier before delivery. Other Countries: Import duties and taxes may apply and are the customer’s responsibility. Please check with your local customs office.
