Description

Ok, this is a weird one.

It turns out that Royal Mail in the UK charges much lower fees for shipping my lampworked glass to anywhere in the world (other than within the US). So for people who don't mind waiting a bit, I can carry your order in my luggage to the UK when I go in July.

On July 3 I will mail your package from the UK via Royal Mail to anywhere you are!

See the map above for which zone you're in.

So, this listing is for postage of your hand-carried pieces in July.

Packages will be shipped via Royal Mail International Standard (which does not include a tracking number). If you want a tracking number it adds $6 to the cost, so you might as well just have me mail it from the US (tracket number included) and you'll get it much faster.

This is a flat charge which will cover the postage from Surrey, UK to:
elsewhere in the UK
EU addresses
Zone 1 addresses
Zone 2 addresses

This is exclusively for pieces I hand carry over in July! Only good on orders received by June 28th.

Be SURE to use the address you want your order shipped to when you check out. That is the address I'll print the label for =)

Remember to use the code ADDTOCURRENTORDER when you check out to delete the normal international shipping charge of $14 .

Shipping policies

Shipping cost: there is a flat shipping charge, and ALL additional pieces sent in the same package ship for FREE! Yay!

First class shipping is from Vancouver WA, USA and includes a tracking number. I post to the address that you have registered with Etsy, so please take a moment and confirm that it is correct. I am sorry but once it's left my hands I have no control over delivery times.

For shipping, I wrap the glass carefully in dense bubble-foam wrap, and then place it in its lovely velvet pouch. For the exterior mailing envelope I usually use a padded bubble envelope. Orders with multiple items may be mailed in a box.

You can see a photo of how I wrap and package my glass at https://www.etsy.com/shop/JeneferHamGlass/about?ref=shopinfo_about_leftnav. Click through the photos at the top, it's the 5th photo.

------------ INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS--------------------
Include electronic USPS Delivery Confirmation, are sent first class, and are usually delivered in about 10 working days. I take care to fill out the customs form properly to expedite the package's transit through Customs/Import.

Please note: now that I'm mailing from the USA, it's likely there will be VAT and Customs Duty charges on International Shipments over apx $20 in value. Any customs charge/import duty/VAT, are the responsibility of the buyer.

Please see below for links regarding how those charges are calculated.

United Kingdom:
• Goods purchased of £15 or less are free from Customs Duty and import VAT.
• Goods between £15-135 will be charged VAT but no Customs Duty.
• Goods above £135 will be charged both VAT and Customs Duty.

Value Added Tax (VAT) - Import VAT is charged at the same rate that applies to similar goods sold in the UK and applies to commercial goods over £15 in value, and on gifts that are over £39 in value. The value of the goods for import VAT is based on the:

basic value of goods, plus
postage, packing and insurance, plus
any import (Customs or Excise) duties charged

Additionally, If customs charges are payable upon importation, Royal Mail will charge a handling fee.

EU COUNTRIES:
VAT is not due when the total value of all goods in a consignment (value not inclusive of customs duties or transport costs) is less than a threshold. The threshold may vary from 10 euros to 22 euros, depending on the EU country.

Additional policies

Every care has been taken to ensure long life, but my pieces are made of glass, so common sense and care should be taken when handling them. You can clean them with a soft cloth and a bit of soap & water.

They are also relatively small items, so please use care if allowing children to view/hold/play with the pieces.
