I found an old wooden tray at the thrift store, badly scratched and unloved. It was quite big (15 ¾ x 14 inches, or 40 x 35.5 cm), a great size to make it into a cork board. I took it home, gave it a good cleaning, painted it white and distressed it a bit, to show the wood grain underneath. I glued a variety of international corks on it, from New Zealand, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, Chile, France, Italy, Canada, Washington State, and of course California. Whew! Some are natural, some are synthetic (in fun colors!), but they can all be easily pierced with a thumbtack. I work hard to make sure that there are no repeats!

This board will accommodate all your little pieces of paper in one spot. It comes with attached hardware, ready to be hung.

This is the perfect gift for someone's office or work space. It will look particularly at home in a kitchen! It is unique, it is upcycled, and it is useful. What a great combination!
