Handmade

Materials

sterling silver, toggle clasp, faceted peridot rondelle beads

The quality of these small faceted peridot rondelles is great! The color, the sparkle, and the fine faceting makes this bracelet amazing. I caught myself just zoning out, lost as I stared at an area of stones until I starting checking each out individually. Some have their heads stuck in the clouds; I seem to be consumed by almost anything that sparkles... The findings are sterling silver, including the toggle clasp.

The bracelet is about over 7 and 1/4 inches long.

Peridot is often called olivine (because of its olive-green color). The depth of green depends on how much iron is contained in the crystal structure, and varies from yellow-green to olive to brownish green. Olivine is a very abundant mineral, but gem-quality peridot is in fact rather rare. There is no known treatment to improve the color or clarity of peridot, so peridot is always an untreated gem.
