BACKORDERED! PLEASE DO NOT ORDER THIS SET UNLESS YOU AGREE TO WAIT FOR YOUR SET TO BE DYED AND SHIPPED. PLEASE CHECK MY SHOP ANNOUNCEMENT UNDER THE BANNER ON THE FIRST PAGE TO SEE WHAT THE CURRENT WAITING PERIOD IS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE. THIS SET IS WORTH WAITING FOR!

Gradation in rich eggplant of 100% wool in 2-ply jumper weight (fingering yarn), which knits up at about 8 st/in on US 1-2 needles. This 107-gram set (484 yards) in has slight shade variations along the axis of the yarn. This is a great way to keep designs visually interesting without complicating the color scheme.

The yarn is soft and lustrous and can be worn next to the skin by most. It resists pilling and drapes beautifully. It was milled exclusively for my gradated sets.

The set is discounted $3.00 for a two-inch spot in one of the skeins where one ply is longer than the other. Instead of evenly wrapping around each other, one ply is straight and the other curls around it. This could easily be adjusted during knitting without the necessity of a splice.

Please visit my “Profile” section to read the full story behind the yarn: how gradations are created, how they are used, and what physical properties the yarns and dyes have.
