Description

Sew Irregular is a zine celebrating clothing cultures beyond fast fashion.

Our second issue features fabulous sewing blogger and Sewn magazine editor That Black Chic, exciting community upcycling enterprise Worn Reborn, Physicist fashionista Carole Kenrick, thoughts on curtain clothing with the amazing House of Bilimoria, digital embroidery masters 1831, visible mending hero Tom of Holland, and rad LGBTIQ+ clothing initiative G(end)er Swap!

All profits from online sales of this issue will go to Fashion Revolution. They are an awesome charity and global movement with a mission to radically change the way clothes are sourced, produced and consumed. All clothing should be made in a safe, clean and fair way but this is far from the truth for most garments we wear.

This A4 24 page zine is printed in monochrome on off-white paper. Artwork and photography by creator/editor Eddie (@eddiepile) and fabulous guest artists Julia Brown (@tatty__moo) Daire Lawlor (@dairelawlor) and Carole Kenrick (@HelpfulScience).

Audio description of this zine will be available at www.sewirregular.bandcamp.com

Another great issue from Sew Irregular! So much great information, a real mix of things I was already aware of and new ideas to me, all with lovely illustrations and I really like the A4 format, it feels just like a retro magazine - so glad I've moved on from J17 to this! :D

Really beautifully produced. Gave me a lot to think about and something I can hopefully pass onto friends! Thank you for signposting the advocacy academy - such an awesome social justice organisation!!
