The fake succulent plant in the pot is not fixed, so you can change it for a real one if you have the green thumb!
The button closure mechanism allows you to attach this macrame in two ways:
1) Simply use a hook and hang the plant using the rope.
2) Wrap the rope around the desired object (ring, rearview mirror ..) and close it with the button.

The rope is smaller than first expected, and that's a very good thing. It is very sophisticated, thread looking, and the knots and twists are tight and amazing. The pot it comes with, has to be my favorite planter I've ever come across. I want to buy 10 of these and hang them everywhere. WELL WELL worth the wait and money. Thank you so much
