Description

This handmade, wheel-thrown porcelain "chawan" or "tea bowl" was fired in a gas kiln to cone 10. It features a beautiful food-safe glaze combination.

This style of tea bowl is traditionally shaped for usucha or "thin tea" which is what most matcha fans are familiar with.

It's about 3" tall and 5" wide. Lead-free, microwave and dishwasher safe, of course.

* Please note, this is a very glossy piece, so the photo has some harsh highlights. There are no white highlights or details, that is just the lighting. Thank you for understanding that I'm a better potter than I am a photographer. ;)
