This is a unique hand-painted beechwood turned trinket pot.

It was inspired by the tales of the Goddess from Spring, Summer through to Winter.

I drew on the Celtic myths of Cerridwen, with the hare and the hawk chasing a swallow. I also included the a child representing Taliesin or the Mabon child.

I love trees and their twisted forms, so my Goddesses are part of the tree forms marking the year as it turns.

I chose to work with golds and coppers for the trees and also for the lid which intertwines various seasonal fruits, flowers (stylised cherry blossom, roses, wheat, pumpkin, ivy and holly and berries)in a freehand Celtic/root type design.
The spiral in the middle symbolizes the life force.

Though I may draw on similar references again, each pot I do is unique, I do not copy designs directly from pot to pot but let them develop their own way.

It is ideal for keeping that special jewellery item in, or some other personal treasure.

It is a pot of which I am especially fond, I hope you like it too!

Approx 8cm diameter x 5 cm high (3 1/4 inch x 2 inch)
