We designed, hammered and swirled 12 gauge brass wire to make this Celtic knot and spirals influenced shawl pin.
We smoothed all the edges so that it will not catch on your shawl.

The pin measures about 2 3/8-2 3/4" (6.- 7cm) long and about 1 1/8-1 1/4" (2.8-3.2cm) across the widest part. The stick pin part with the spiral on top that slips through the main budding spiral design to secure the pin is about 3 1/2 - 3 3/4" (8.9 - 9.5 cm) long.

You can gently bend the outer edges of the main piece to create a looser or tighter fit with the pin.
It can be worn as a hair pin or brooch too!

All our jewelry comes wrapped in colorful tissue paper, in a nice gift box and tied with a bow ready for gift giving.

This design is also available in sterling silver, light weight aluminum and brass.

The pin in the pictures is a representative pin and not the exact same one that you will receive. We hand make each pin and try hard to make them look the same. There may be some minor differences but the one you will receive will look very similar to the one you see in the pictures.

It is often hard to know if a hair accessory will work well for your particular type of hair without trying it on first. We wouldn't recommend this pin for very long or heavy hair. If our pin doesn't work well for you after you purchase it just let us know and we can easily work out a refund or exchange.

The brass wire used in this pin is in it's natural form and not treated with a lacquer or wax. Brass naturally oxidizes over time and develops a patina. Some people love that look and some prefer to keep it shiny.
Here are some suggestions for how to shine up your brass jewelry using common household supplies like lemon juice or ketchup. The link provided below is for cleaning copper but it also applies to brass:
