This great four (4) drawer file card cabinet was made by the Yawman & Erbe Mfg. Company in the early 1900s. The cabinet and drawers are made of oak using dovetail construction. Each drawer has a brass pull and nameplate frame. The brass placard at the base reads “Yawman & Erbe Mfg, Co., Rochester, N.Y.”

The cabinet measures 15" wide, 10 ¾”" tall, and 15 ½”" deep. The drawers were apparently designed to hold 4” x 6” file cards. Each drawer has a wood and metal card follower with an oval tag that reads “G.F. Williamson, Patent Applied For”.

The cabinet’s finish is original and overall it is in really good condition. The lock mechanism is missing from the bottom right drawer. There’s a few surface scratches, some finish discoloration and a few paint splashes from a bygone era. I think these really add to the character of the piece.
