Description

These two sweet, silver plated elephant banks by Napier, with their clean, simple lines and adorable faces, add a touch of whimsy to any decor. Plus, they do just what they're expected to: hold your extra change for that next dinner out.

Known as a cutting edge silver object manufacturer since its founding in 1878, Napier has been known for being on the forefront of fashion and design. Napier silver designs from the first half of the 20th century are in museum collections around the country, and their artistry in jewelry creations is highly regarded.

Each elephant has four angled peg feet and is created in two interlocking pieces that pull apart when you need that cash. They're held together on the bottom with a screw right next to the engraved "Napier Pat. Pend." signature. There's also a little latch between their wide ears that attaches them securely.

They measure 5-1/2 inches long by 3-1/4 inches wide and 3-1/4 inches tall.

They're in good, solid condition with a wonderful vintage patina, some signs of wear, and missing silver plate here and there, especially on one of them (see last picture). Both can be more highly polished if desired.

FAQs

Contact me at the time of order. I love packaging orders and do not charge for wrapping. Some large items are not as easy to package attractively.
We source all of our items here in rural New Hampshire, along with some that we've owned and found in Virginia and New Jersey, where we lived previously.
Most are vintage (pre-owned). Most will show some signs of use and wear. I try hard to be complete in my descriptions and fully disclose any known flaws.
I'm happy to answer any questions you have about condition, quantity, or size before purchasing an item. Please convo me.
Etsy gives us room for 10 photos, and I usually use all of them. If you need more for some reason, please feel free to contact me.
Please contact me if you are looking for something. I might just have it, or might be able to obtain it for you.
All my items are vintage, but I'm happy to box together a number of different pieces with an adjusted price, just for you. I can also put items on a 24-hour Reserve. Convo me and let me know what you'd like!
