You can make this two ways:
1. Hoop tear away, run placement stitch. Place 8.5"x 12" backing fabric with right side up and top fabric right side down (they are floated). Run the second set of stitches. Use pinking shears to cut out the bib. You will cut the very end of the tab off to create an opening. Carefully tear away the stabilizer. Flip the bib right side out. Tuck the tab inside and hand sew or machine sew the opening shut. Top stitch the entire bib, if desired. Add KAM snaps or Velcro for closure.

2. Hoop baking fabric top right sides together. This method causes more fabric waste.
TO ADD EMBROIDERY:
Hoop polymesh stabilizer and run placement stitch. Float 8.5"x 12" topping fabric with right side up then add the embroidery design. Add backing fabric right side down then run the second set of stitches. Use pinking shears to cut out the bib. You will cut the very end of the tab off to create an opening. Flip the bib right side out. Tuck the tab inside and hand sew or machine sew the opening shut. Top stitch the entire bib, if desired. Add KAM snaps or Velcro for closure.
I used chenille and cotton for my bibs. You may also use terry cloth, minky, or a layer of flannel then a layer of cotton right side up before placing your top cotton right side down.
