Sweet circa 90s hand knit pullover sweater with a bateau neckline made from wool yarns including, we believe, mohair. A pastoral scene with a young aproned girl in a red dress and her little dog (or basket ?) looking out from a backdrop of blue skies, birds, hills, an apple (?) tree and seeded fields. I like to think of her as Dorothy the day before the tornado. The back of the sweater is the scene in reverse with the young girl looking towards the fields, hills, and a partial red picket fence. The seeded fields are thicker than the balance of the sweater as the dark yarn was knit atop the lighter brown. I'm unsure if this was knit from a pattern or freehand. I do think the colours work very well together and it most certainly took some knitting prowess to make. Delightful.

NOTE: the sweater is fairly soft but there is a mild prickle to the sweater.

Modeled on a US size 3/4 dress form and it fit just.

Vintage size label: none and we estimate this would best fit a current US size XS, S (2 to 3).
