Description

Grounding, relaxing and sensual all at the same time, patchouli and lavender make a lovely combination for the bath.

The aromabath is a very rewarding way to indulge yourself in some rest and recuperation for both the mind and the body. The healing oils are absorbed through the skin to enter the circulatory system and by way of inhalation the fragrance enters the olfactory system.

Smell is closely related to memory, and fragrances can bring about emotional feelings which can catch you by surprise. If you try to figure out where that flash came from you may be at a loss.

The sense of smell acts mostly on a subconscious level and we are often unaware of the many odors in our environment as we go about our lives. Odors work through associations and often people find their creativity is enhanced with certain scents and find it fascinating but don't consciously have an explanation.

Patchouli is one of those scents you either love or would rather avoid. The power of association is strong with this essential oil. For some, the distinctive smell simply reminds them of memories from musical concerts. It was used for personal hygiene as well as a bug repellent. Then there is a female friend who calls it her own personal fragrance and feels young and alive with this earthy scent to take her back to good times in her life. Whether you call yourself a hippie or not, anyone can love patchouli.

Patchouli has a powerful action on our psyche and brings a sense of sacredness of life. Its earthy smell can stimulate and strengthen the nervous system and act almost like a sedative for anxiety. Reaching deep into our emotions, this oil dispels sexual tensions and has become known as an aphrodisiac.
As a perfume it can cling to clothes for extended periods of time.

Containing, patchoulene, patchouli has rejuvenating properties that help mature skin maintain its suppleness, therefore is often seen in moisturizing creams.

Lavender is one of those herbs most of us have experienced. Used in perfumery, cosmetics, burns and skin conditions, insect repellent, emotional anxiety, this plant is one of the most effective oils in natural cosmetics.
Lavender's sweet yet woodsy scent goes well with many oil blends and actually strengthens their effects. Known as the protective love of Mother Earth, lavender is like a gentle blanket to tuck us in when upset and burdened.

Our Sensual Earth Bath Oil takes patchouli and lavender essential oils and adds them to a carrier oil combination of olive, sweet almond, apricot seed, jojoba, and wheat germ oils. This balanced blend is good for most skin types. Not too heavy or light, these oils are soothing and skin softening. The jojoba and wheat germ oils also help prevent oxidation and extend the shelf life.

Our skin absorbs essential oils within 20 minutes while the carrier oil will remain to soften and moisturize. Don't be surprised if you find the aroma doesn't seem as strong after a period of time. The nose will stop registering as it becomes tired of the stimulation. Essential oil molecules continue to work long after our sense of smell stops detecting them. Should someone else enter the room they would definitely smell the aromatics.

In aromatherapy, the difference between a bath oil and a massage or body oil is the concentration of the essential oils. Bath oils contain a larger amount of essential oils.

To use a bath oil, fill the tub first and then add about 2 tsp. of oil. Swirl it around to disperse throughout the water and then get in. This 4 oz. bottle contains enough for about 10 - 12 baths.
When you squeeze the rubber dropper top it will fill about half way. Doing this twice will give you about 1/2 tsp. Four times will give you 1 tsp.

Bath oils come in a 4 oz. glass amber dropper bottle. If you prefer a plastic squeeze bottle please convo me.

Enjoy this blend and let it take you back and relive fond memories!

Due to the nature of all natural perishable products and personal likes and dislikes, we cannot except returns. Should there be a problem, please contact me and we'll decide whether to refund or replace the item.

I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If there is a fault with the product itself, you are entitled to a replacement or a full refund which would include the shipping costs.

Please review the ingredient list of the product before purchasing and be aware of known allergies. Immune systems function differently so there is always the risk of a sensitivity even with natural ingredients. The preservatives used are an antimicrobial called grapefruit seed extract, the antioxidant Vit. E and the concentration of essential oils. These are a non-synthetic, natural means of extending shelf life but are not the broad spectrum preservatives found on the commercial market. Being the risk of contamination is always present in any perishable product please try to use the item within 6 months or keep in the refrigerator.

Shipping policies

Packages are carefully wrapped to ensure it reaches its destination safely.
If the package weighs 13 oz. or less it will ship by USPS First Class Mail. If it is something perishable such as creams or body butters during the heat of the summer I'll send it Priority Mail. If the package is over 13 oz. it will automatically need to be sent Priority Mail.
Packages that ship Priority Mail are automatically insured up to a value of $50.

I live on the east coast, therefore depending on to what zone the package is to be sent will determine the actual shipping costs. Shipping costs for Priority Mail varies greatly as a package travels further across the country. Should the package need not travel as far the actual shipping will of course be less, therefore the buyer will receive a refund on the shipping costs charged at the time of purchase.

For buyers with multiple items, if they end up overpaying on the totaled shipping costs compared to the actual shipping costs, I will reimburse minus the packaging costs.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:

Should a buyer choose the Other option as payment please be aware that I cannot accept personal checks. There may be problems with a check drawn on a non-US bank in a foreign currency. In fact, I'm not sure our banks will accept the payment. Payment needs to be as an International Postal Money Order in USD.

Contents of the order are itemized on the custom forms which is the requirement of the seller. Customs duties are the responsibility of the buyer. Each country has different limits and it is up to the buyer to educate himself/herself on that particular country's fees. Custom fees are often based on the dollar value. Businesses are not allowed to mark an order as a gift, it is marked as merchandise.
Below is a helpful resource for finding out how much you may have to pay in fees:

Due to restrictions on Bath and Beauty products we do not ship to Mexico

Please be patient with the shipping times for international orders. The minimum shipping time is about two weeks, but depending on location it could be a month or longer till the package arrives at the buyers address.
