Description

This pair of antique portraits are sepia colored oval photographs of a man and a woman, likely husband and wife, framed in Adirondack or Black Forest style carved walnut frames with oak leaves on the corners. The inner wood border is gold. The glass, slightly wavy with minor tiny glass flaws, appears to be original. There are red cords for hanging on the back.

These Victorian portraits were professionally taken by J.B. Butterfield in Philadelphia sometime around the Eastlake era, i.e. the late 19th century.

They would look lovely in your old farmhouse or if you should be so lucky, gothic mansion. We can dream, right?

These photographic portraits are in excellent antique condition. No missing leaves, broken wood or scratches to note. There is some light material on the side corner of one that appears to be old glue. Please use your zoom for a good look.

13" X 15" end to end.

I would be happy to combine shipping when possible. Just contact me with your zip code for a quote if you are buying more cool stuff.
