This vintage aquamarine couture gown by Richilene is and always will be an excellent example the finest in quality design and construction. Richilene was a small New York couture house known for it's custom made evening gowns and cocktail dresses.

This is definitely one of my favorite pieces. Besides being extremely elegant, it is flattering.

The Bodice: The bead work is extraordinary both on the sleeves and center with cylindrical glass beads, round glass beads, pearls, treaded sequins, bunched sequins, rowed sequins, needle point work, roping and square glass beads on metal drops. I could imagine the dress being tailored to remove the sleeves and give a more modern look.
The pleating on the bodice is really what I love, it is something you would see in any modern couture design on the red carpet today. The inside is completely lined and tailored.

The Skirt : The skirt is of this dress will make you want to spin. Made of 2 layers of fine silk chiffon over a light lining this skirt moves so beautifully. It looks like something Ginger Rogers would have worn to dance in. When the wind catches it, it billows out but when still has an amazing curve hugging silhouette.

I have many more pictures of this dress to please convo me if you would like to see more!
