Offering an outstanding antique cigar box. Made of metal, complete with the latch. Covered with 6 labels: white hen labels and Factory identification labels. The interior label is large: "White Hen Hatched in Baltimore". Vibrant colors, sharp graphics.

Clearly marked: "Trademark Registered by Krause & Co Baltimore MD".

Works well. The box opens and closes easily. The lid stands up on it's own. The handle on the top moves easily back and forth. The latch works well and functions as it should. Overall in excellent structural condition. All over tarnish.

This was sold by the Dolan Mercantile Co. Distributors Atchison, Kansas.

On the bottom is a label that states: "Factory No 11 District, State of MD. Notice: The manufacturer of the cigars herein contained has complied with all the requirements of law. Every person is cautioned not to use either this box for cigars again, or the stamp thereon again, nor to remove the contents of this box without destroying said stamp, under the penalties provided by law in such cases."

Embossed into the metal on the bottom: "Factory 11 50 District MD"

An old crumbling green seal on the bottom states: "Series of 1901"

On the side is a label stating: "Claro"

Measures approximately 6 1/2 inches x 5 inches x 3 inches high. The interior label measures approximately 6 inches x 4 1/2 inches.
