We suggest using a bracelet bender or bracelet pliers to form the cuff after stamping. If you have neither, try forming it over a rolling pin or drinking glass! Nugold will work harden which means the more you stamp it, hit it with a mallet or tumble it; the stronger and stiffer it will become. You can leave the finish as is or sand it for a brushed finish. I started my shop with the help of my handstamping mom when I was only 15 yrs old in 2015. The mission of my shop is to completely pay for college. Because I have fibromyalgia I've chosen to take college slowly so I can keep up with my business as well as my studies all within the constraints of what my body can handle. 🔹-🔹WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE? 🔹-🔹
If your wondering why gauge of metal is opposite of what seems rational, I agree. So here's the details... Thickness of metal is spoken about in "gauges". High gauge means thin metal, low gauge is thick.
🔹20 gauge, .032, is the thinnest I carry and I only have nugold and copper.
🔹18g, .040" which is perfect for discs and layered items.
🔹16g., .050" is middle of the road in thickness.
🔹14g, .063", is the thickest I have in nugold and copper. Makes great bracelets in all metals; nugold, copper and aluminum.
🔹12 gauge is the thickest I have at .080". I only carry it in aluminum and I don't always have it in stock.
