A block of four 6-cent postage stamps from 1968 depicting a National Portrait Gallery painting of Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce. Chief Joseph is remembered for leading his people in a peaceful resistance against forced removal to a reservation; he eventually surrendered. Today a breathtaking Wyoming scenic byway is named for him.

Stamps are unused and in excellent condition. Block measures 4 1/8 x 2 1/4"

Shipping costs are based on East Coast to West Coast rates. If you live closer to North Carolina, you may qualify for a shipping refund, which will be credited back to your Paypal account. I gladly combine shipping, when possible, on multiple purchases to save you money. Most orders ship within two business days.

When shipping packages, my first priority is getting your purchases to you in one piece. I pack all my items carefully, using bubble wrap, packing paper and new boxes (when previously used ones are not available.) These costs are reflected in my shipping rates. I also insure most of my packages. Please let me know if you absolutely require insurance.
