This quilt caught my eye on Pinterest because of the colors and modern look. The pattern is a downloadable .pdf file. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. They are for a 40" by 40" quilt. I am going to make mine 60" by 60" by adding 20 more blocks. I have never done paper piecing, so I studied all of Jen Sorenson's videos about paper piecing (there is a link in the pattern). I bought newspaper print, flat-headed straight pins, embroidery sewing machine needles, and an add-a-quarter ruler (so worth it!) as described in the first paper piecing video. I tried a trial block with scrap material. Using the video instructions, I ended up with a block that has very defined points and looks very neat. I'm excited to use this new-to-me method for all 36 blocks!
