Between Shadow and Light // Original reduction linocut print
Materials: paper, ink, linoleum, blood, sweat, tears
Height: 35 centimeters
Width: 35 centimeters
'Between Shadow and Light' is loosely based on Kitsune mythology. One of the the Kitsune's powers is that it can make small 'fox lanterns', by producing balls of fire to float around them, and guide their way.
This reduction print is created with two layers of printing with the use of just one block. The linoleum is cut away after the first layer, and the new color is printed on top. A reduction print can never be reprinted.
Printed in my studio with my own etching press. Some variations between prints due to the difficulty of the technique.

Beautiful artwork, skillfully executed prints, and stellar communication. Couldn't ask for anything more. Thanks Sue!
Absolutely wonderful! Prints are so gorgeous, unique and obvious handcrafted. I am slow on doing reviews because I want to show them matted and framed. Here are a few I have already up.
