Greetings! This scarf is made of a couple of different yarns, one is a mossy-to-grass green wool with lovely variations. It reminds me of the rolling hills and dales of the British Isles. I have edged the scarf, as well as added decorative borders to each end with a novelty yarn that is a wool/mohair/acrylic mix. It has tiny slubs of blue, burgundy, and metallic gold sparkles. The body of the scarf is made in a very loose stitch, which allows the scarf to be stretched wider than the measured width. You can spread it out and wear it as a shawl around your shoulders, and either fasten it with a scarf pin or stick, or let it drape loosely. The denser stitching along both ends lends itself to any fastening device you choose (brooch, etc.) Then, finally, I have added my signature "Wild Thing" fringe to both ends, comprised of numerous coordinating novelty fibers. This is truly a four-seasons kind of accessory. When bundled up around your neck, it is surprisingly warm (that's the wool), and stretched looser, can take you through the more temperate seasons as well.

This scarf measures about 5" wide (but will stretch wider). The length is about 52", plus add to that the 6" of fringe at each end, for a total length of 64".

I recommend you hand wash this scarf in cold, wrap in a soft fluffy towel to absorb most of the moisture, and lay flat to dry.

I believe that everyone should be able to accessorize and wear gorgeous items every day, and that those items should be affordable. I love bright colors, but also draw my inspiration from the beauty of nature. All of my handmade freeform crochet scarves are my original designs, no pattern used - therefore, most often, they won't/can't be duplicated. Each one is lovingly and carefully created with quality yarns and attention to detail- I consider them fiber art.
