Though seventeen syllables humble, these small poems paired with communicative and moving photography have the ability to quicken delight, minister to our current weariness, encourage the shaken, and gently tether us to our humanity. Beauty can't help itself. The art of haiku, a storied and ancient form of Japanese poetry consisting in three lines of 5-7-5 syllables respectively, gently asks us to stand aware. These three lines are a call to pay attention, then listen - to the loving invitations that surround us.
