Salvia argentea 'Artemis' descendants

Biennial / Perennial - Zones 5 to 8

* Seeds per package - 10
* Bloom Time - June - July
* Bloom Color - White
* Size - 36" x 24"
* Culture - Best in full sun and drier, very well-drained conditions. Cut back after blooming to reveal the fresh, new, fuzzy-bunny-slippers foliage.
* Characteristics - Bees adore the tall wands of white flowers. The plants are also nice for a tactile/sensory garden. Unfortunately, the slugs think the plants wonderful, too, though the slugs seem to bother me more than they bother the plants.
* Special Features - This plant is often listed as a biennial or short-lived perennial. It does wait for its second year to bloom, but the original plants have been growing and blooming in my Cheyenne yard since 2013 or 2014. It's possible the dry conditions have been prolonging their lives.
* Germination - Barely cover seeds with moist potting mix, and germinate at warm room temps of 70-75°F. Grow seedlings under drier conditions. Seedlings (and mature plants for that matter) will "melt" with too much moisture, especially if water stays on the fuzzy leaves. Bottom water helps with this.
