ink, watercolor, sketchbook, pink cardstock

Height: 11 Inches; Width: 8.5 Inches

One print of a sketchbook drawing I made during my summer 2018 trip to Hiroshima prefecture. Onomichi was my favorite town I visited over a month travelling in Japan. It rained most of the time I was there, but I managed to squeeze a few drawings & paintings in without getting too damp.

For this drawing, I sat under the gate of a Shinto shrine on the quieter west side of town and sketched the view of the entryway sheltered from a rainstorm. I felt self-conscious while painting, but a man passing by liked what I was doing and gave me a mochi, which felt like a blessing!

The paper stock is a lovely light warm pink color: just off-white enough to create a soothing, unified tone to the print, and pop strikingly against white mats/frames.

paper size 8.5 x 11" (about 21.5 x 28 cm)
image size about 6" x 9" (14 x 23 cm)
signed by hand in bottom right corner.

I recommend a mat sized 7x11" for an ideal display, but 8.5 x 11 will do in a pinch!

Ships flat, sealed in a clear bag, inside a protected cardboard envelope.
