Giant Hunter's Star Quilt Pattern
Digital file type(s): 1 PDF
The Giant Hunter's Star quilt pattern contains TWO patterns in one. The first, a Supergiant Hunter's Star, makes one large block quilt that measures 68" square. The second, a Giant Hunter's Star, uses four 32" blocks to make a 64" square throw quilt.
Both quilt tops can be made with just 4 yards of fabric: two yards of a focal fabric, and two yards of a complimentary fabric.
The Giant Hunter's star can also be made with 2 yards of a background fabric and 8 co-ordinating fat quarters.
Both patterns use 4 yards of fabric for the backing and 5/8 yards binding.
This listing is for a digital PDF that you will download after purchasing.
The inspiration for this quilt came from my original Hunter's Star pattern, on a day when I wanted to make a quilt top but had only a couple of hours to do it. I was able to cut and piece my Supergiant quilt top in less than two hours. It's a classic design made modern by the oversized block size, and makes a great gift.

This pattern was well-written and easy to follow. My goal was to make a queen-sized quilt, and this pattern is easily adjustable by simply adding more of the same blocks. I am very happy with the end result and recommend this pattern!
I love this pattern. I did the hunter star with the 2 3/4” squares and found it very tedious. This simplifies the process with the same great results in the look.
This is one of my all time favorite patterns. I am making three quilts for family member’s Christmas across The country. So cool! Love it.
Great pattern! Easy to follow.
