This is a small pot, perfect for holding a small cactus or a little succulent plant. It was made by U.S. Pottery of California in the 1950's. These are referred to as caches pots (French), because you can put another pot inside it, one that is paper or plastic that may not look so good. :) This one measures 4 inches tall and is 4 1/2 inches in diameter. It is a pinkish burgundy and goes well with mid-century modern decor.

These pots are sometime confused with Bauer Pottery because of the swirl design on the sides. But if you look closely, the swirls on a Bauer pot are alittle wider and more defined. The mark on the bottom is 'U.S. Pottery' which was a California pottery factory in the 1940's and 50's.

Condition is very good, no cracks, repairs, odors or stains. There is a glaze miss on the inside of the rim, see photo.
