Description

This necklace starts out with an amorphic shape of raspberry aventurine. Amorphic refers to having no defined shape. Because we cut and polish our own stones from scratch, we can make our shapes exclusive, amorphic shapes, which are sometimes referred to as baroque shapes. Raspberry aventurine is a combination of mica, quartz, hematite, and red muscovite. I made a setting out of 24 gauge sterling plate and serrated silver wire to hold the raspberry adventurine in place, as well as the small pearl. I made a small hanger and wrapped 1/4 inch flat wire around it to simulate a vine. I took the same material and diagonally mounted it across the front of the piece to simulate the continuation of the hanger and its vine. The piece is 20 1/2 inches long, and the pendant is 2 1/4 inches long and wide. I then highly polished and cleaned the centerpiece and handed it over to Sarah. She pulled out the sterling and garnet red colors out with the beads, which include sterling silver, freshwater pearls, Czech glass, and garnet. The sterling silver clasp has a double hook and round loop closure for easy installation around the neck. The clothing that you wear with our necklaces bring out different colors in the pieces. This is the reason I photograph them with different backgrounds. Due to become a family heirloom!
