Description

This is a vintage, porcelain, Japanese made teapot in the pattern Imari Empress and has a bamboo cane handle and dates to c.1970's

The teapot has a lovely floral design in red, cobalt blue, green, yellow and pink with gilt outlining in places. The lid is of the flat style with two finger holes, one of which has a firing flaw, as shown in photo 9 above.

The spout has a floral vignette either side of the base and one just below the spout tip, which has a red trim.

The teapot is unmarked.

The teapot weighs 605.2g

Condition:
There are no chips, cracks or glaze crazing present to the main teapot body or to the lid. There are a couple of small factory / firing flaws on the spout, shown in photo 10 above and are outlined in black. There are dark marks on the base ring, mentioned for accuracy and are visible in photo 6 above.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Conditions of return

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

I do not gift wrap items.

All items are carefully wrapped in bubble wrap, large items will be shipped in boxes, smaller items like jewellery, silver spoons are carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and corrugated cardboard and are shipped in jiffy bags.

Cigarette card albums are shipped in Manilla board backed envelopes.

Books will be well packed and shipped in jiffy bags, very large books will be shipped with more protection.

I post daily Mon - Fri - except for UK Bank Holidays when the Post Office / Royal Mail is closed. The post is dispatched daily at 2pm, if an order arrives after 1.15pm, it will be dispatched the next working day (Mon - Fri - excluding UK Bank Holidays).

I do ship on Saturday mornings, if an order arrives after 9am on a Saturday, it will be dispatched on the following Monday, except if a UK Bank Holiday.

Any orders on a Sunday, will be processed and packaged and dispatched on Monday, except if a UK Bank Holiday.
I am open to sensible offers on most items, so please do contact me via Etsy convo (messages) with the price you would pay for an item.

Remember, if it is high priced item, I can do a three month lay-away plan (pay for the item with three monthly instalments).

Yes, I have a shop in Chediaton Street, Halesworth, Suffolk, opposite Market Place car park.

If the item(s) is damaged in transit, return postage will be refunded. Item(s) are to be returned within 14 days.

If it is a change of mind purchase, item can be returned to seller, but buyer bears the cost of return postage. Item to be returned within 14 days. A refund will be issued upon receipt of item, minus the original postage costs.

If the item(s) is not returned in its original condition the buyer is responsible for any loss in value and this amount will be deducted from the refund amount.

If the item(s) I receive back is different from the item sent to the buyer, then no refund will be issued.
In the event of a a failed attempted delivery, in which the buyer does not collect their item(s) from the Postal Service or arrange a re-delivery of their item(s) and the item(s) are sent back to the sender (myself) evenutally, upon receipt of the item(s), I will issue a refund, minus the original postage / shipping costs.

This also applies if a buyer has used an incorrect address when ordering. It is up to the buyer to ensure the correct address is specified.

Any request to change the address is not permittable, as to comply with Etsy seller protection, a seller has to send to the address on the order.
