This bangle features the engraved cup and ring designs from the 'rock art' of Northern Britain, reminiscent of the last of the evening sun as it picks out the stones on a desolate hilltop.

The meaning of these patterns that were pecked into the rock are unknown. They are often found near water sources and are difficult to date but many can be attributed to the early Neolithic. Similar patterns with concentric rings and gutters are found across Europe and worldwide in Mexico, Brazil and India.

The bangle is a roughly 7x6cm oval and 2 1/2cm wide. It is just pliable enough to open up to put on and take off and then close tight as a fitted cuff, or wear loose.

It comes presented in a gift box with a raffia interior. All packaging is natural, recycled and recyclable except for the shipping tape.
